Mauve huipil w/ vibrant flower design and fringe bottom. This is a very unusual color, and we're not sure what village would have produced it. Probably from the late 80s.
No two huipiles are alike. The base material is woven by hand on a back-strap loom, and then decorated with hand embroidery. Each piece is the product of hours of hand work and generations ofcultural knowledge.
